As we look back into the last year, there were lots of new releases worth of our attention. But, according to me, here are the few games that were good enough to make the top games of 2011 list.

Some of these games are also available on other devices, while some aren't, but the good thing is that all of them have been able to play their best on iPad. If you are carrying this extraordinary Apple's touch pad right now in your bag and you don't have these top five games then just go get them for the most amazing experience.

Pulse

Pulse is a highly acclaimed rhythm game for iPad developed by Cipher Prime. This remarkable rhythm game will take you to the world of unknown melodies. Pulse is a way different play in the world of music games and after playing Pulse, you will definitely find out “Why?”.

The workshop released Fractal and Auditorium as their first iPad product but much to the delight, Pulse seemed to be the kind of game that works well on big touch screen like iPad giving a great pulsating experience. While the music is a big “WOW” making each of your chord play.

Orbit1

Games are always fun when playing with friends especially when playing on iPad. The big device acts as a good ground for a group of players and Orbit1 is the best one as a multiplayer game.

Each player will occupy a different corner of the screen, where a single button will be waiting for them. The color of that button corresponds to a ship in the middle of the screen. All you need to do is to press the button, and fight to collect more green items than your friends. It's fast, fantastic and a perfect party game.

Ticket to Ride

Ticket to Ride is the most enticing that it took the top spot in our top iPad games 2011. This release not only recreates every element of the original but offers online matchmaking through there existing Ticket to Ride online service. You will encounter a great level of polish advantages when playing online.

Tiny Token Empires

A game rife with personality, addictive game play and plenty of strategy is what we say for Tiny Token Empires. While it's also available on iPhone and Mac, but the big touch screen gives you the most satisfying experience.

Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery EP

A game that won countless awards, Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery EP is really surprising and also topped our list. A great style conveyed through outstanding pixel art, witty and self-referential humour, and a Punch-Out! - gives an overwhelming experience unlike anything we have ever played before.

Well that's the list of our top five iPad games of 2011. What do you say about them all and the games that you have been playing. Please share your views by using the comments below.
